“My name is Tango.  I am approximately 22 years-old, and I have been at Laughing Pony Rescue since I was about 8 years-old.  I am an ex-roping horse.   A roping horse is a special horse trained to help a cowboy or cowgirl catch cows by running fast and stopping quickly when they throw a rope.  I am a very happy boy now, and I love to be with people who are calm.  I really like when people are quiet around me, honest with me and honest with themselves.  I live with 13 other horses, 5 boys, and 9 girls. My best friend is Bullet, but I just met my new working partner Copper, and he makes me very happy.  I think I am really going to love working with him.”

Copper:  “ My name is Copper and I am the newest horse at Laughing Pony Rescue.  I only met everybody (horses and humans) last week!  This is all very exciting for me.  They say that I am going to be a great therapy horse, but I am not sure exactly what that means yet.  I lived with a very nice couple who loved me very much but realized that I needed a much bigger life than they were able to provide for me.  Now I live at LPR with other horses which makes me really happy because I was lonely.  The nice people I lived with thought I was 12, but Laura and LPR found out that I am around 18 but horses don’t count like humans do, so it doesn’t matter to me.   Before those nice people, I was at an auction and I am going to keep my past a secret.  But you know what I did tell everyone?  I don’t like to be ridden on.  I like my relationships with people when they are on the ground.  Celia and my new human friend Laura thought that I would be a perfect match to hang out with Tango. And guess what?  I really like him! Right when I met him, I could feel how big is heart is.  I even think I can sync my heartbeat to his and then we can really be a team.  We can travel as a herd and make people smile.  

We are already planning some adventures to schools, parks, and even a prison!
